Triple D Seattle: Georgia’s Greek Restaurant and Deli

26 Nov

I’m addicted to the Food Network show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.” I have yet to find any Vancouver equivalents to the eateries on the show, so I was super excited to head down to Seattle to try out a few restaurants that were featured on “Triple D” (as host Guy calls it). Here’s one of ‘em:

Georgia’s Greek Restaurant and Deli

323 NW 85th St.
Seattle, WA 98117

Georgia’s was the first place we went to that had Guy Fieri’s face spray painted on their wall (pictured above). I thought that was a pretty cool branding and marketing tool. Georgia’s is primarily a Greek restaurant, but I did notice some Western items on their menu like pancakes for breakfast and french fries (made Greek with feta thrown in).

Dolmathakia– Great flavor. Definitely squeeze lemon on it. Wished it was served warm instead of ice cold.

Lamb Souvlaki with orzo pasta saladTender, perfectly spiced lamb. Loved the orzo salad. Pita was soft and served warm.

Chicken gyro sandwich– Delicious and packed to the brim with food. Greek fries had strong garlic flavor and surprisingly delicious (then again, these are fries we’re talking about…)
